Android & PC

Your Android phone,
your PC's microphone.

EZ Microphone turns your Android phone into a real microphone for Windows or Mac — no root, no developer mode. Discord, OBS, Zoom, Teams and your games pick it like any mic.

Set it up

01

Install both apps

EZ Microphone from Google Play, and its companion for Windows 10/11 or your Mac from the home page.

02

Pair

Over Wi-Fi, scan the QR code the companion shows. With a cable, plug it and turn on USB tethering — the app shows you where.

03

Pick EZ Mic

In Windows Settings › System › Sound › Input, or in each app's audio settings.

The USB cable on Android

Android carries audio over the cable only when USB tethering is on, and no app is allowed to switch it on for you. When the cable is in and tethering is off, the link line at the top of the app turns amber: tap it and you land on the switch. The computer appears on the cable about fifteen seconds later, and the session moves to it on its own. Samsung phones turn tethering off each time the cable is unplugged.

Everything works on Android

Mic

Clean, encrypted, 48 kHz

End-to-end encrypted over Wi-Fi, a neural noise reduction, and a noise gate with your room drawn under the slider.

Voice

20 voice effects

Processed on the phone itself — robot, Dark Lord, harmonizer, autotune — or your own voice, designed with the real controls.

Soundboard

Up to 99 pads

Your sounds on the phone, firing even while you're muted.

Windows

Faders and game tools

One slider per PC app, match alerts, the game kept out of your mic, and the PC sound in your pocket between rounds.

Words

Dictate or type

Hold and speak, or type — it lands in the computer's clipboard, or is spoken into the game's voice chat on Windows, translated if you want.

Recording

Several phones, one file

Every phone on its own track, aligned within 2 ms, iPhones and Androids mixed.

Short answers

Which Android versions?
Android 7.0 or later. On the computer: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit x64), or a Mac with Apple Silicon.
Do I need root, ADB or developer mode?
No. Wi-Fi needs nothing; the cable needs USB tethering, a regular Android setting.
Wi-Fi or cable?
Both work, and the session switches between them on its own. The cable is the steadiest; over Wi-Fi, prefer 5 GHz on a crowded network.
Is translation done in the cloud?
No. The phone downloads a language pack once (about 30 MB, Wi-Fi only), then translates on the device.
iPhone instead? See your iPhone as a Mac microphone. Something's off? The support page has the fixes.
